Description "This is a seed propagated strain selected by Dale Hendricks that is really fantastic and excitingly variable. Unique silver-blue marbled foliage accented by white flowers on long panicles in the spring. Excellent drought tolerant ground cover. Foliage display is amazing!" -- North Creek Nurseries
"Dale's Strain features leaves that emerge chartreuse with olive-green markings and mature to silvery-green with spruce-green veins. Tiny, pink, bell-shaped flowers." -- Missouri Botanical Garden
Cultivation Best grown in filtered light, 'Dale's Strain' is tolerant of deep shade, or part-sun in cooler climates. It prefers rich soil that is kept consistently moist, but is really quite adaptable and will even tolerate poor, rocky soil. It can be used as an accent plant when mixed in with other perennial, or as an effective ground cover when planted in large groups.
Additional Notes Selected and introduced by Dale Hendricks, co-founder of North Creek Nurseries.
Note: Early spring shipments might include plants that have not yet broken dormancy, or have not been vernalized and will be frost-tender. Please use your best judgment when selecting your preferred ship week.
